RIP Ric Ocasek

RicO 1

Ric Ocasek.

In memory of Ric Ocasek, lead singer and writer for the rock band The Cars. The Cars burst onto the music scene in 1978 with their debut album The Cars and they forged ahead to become rock legends. They became part of our cultural identity due to Ocasek’s writing talent and willingness to share the singing spotlight with bassist Ben Orr. My top ten Cars songs:

  1. Moving in Stereo
  2. All Mixed Up
  3. Bye Bye Love
  4. Drive
  5. Good Times Roll
  6. You’re All I’ve Got Tonight
  7. Just What I Needed
  8. Since You’re Gone
  9. Let’s Go
  10. Stranger Eyes

Ric may be gone, but his music remains with us. Thank you Ric. And we still remain.
