In rural Kansas

first time in a long time

feels good to be home.

The one thing missing

is you, or the thought of you,

to really be home.

I love haiku. I will never forget a trip I went on with my sisters. We were in our hotel room and I said “ hey guys lets write haiku” they looked at me like I was nuts!!!

    1. Haiku is my favorite poetic form. Have you written any haiku lately?

        Actually I have:
        The quiet is here
        It has never been louder
        Bring back the noise

      2. I like it! Replace noise with noises and it that line will have 5 syllables! You should write more haiku…I’d love to read more!

Plus you know I have a southern drawl that makes most things have at least two syllables haha.
