I miss my little friend. My daily tern greeting will be missed for quite some time and never forgotten.
Part of my daily commute to the school where I teach consisted of being greeted by a family of terns over the past couple of months. Particularly a new baby that I observed from egg to chick. One day before wing feathers, the baby disappeared. My days do not start as happy as they once did.

March Madness is upon us again, but this year is quite melancholy.
Too many reminders of late that life can be fleeting. Hold the ones you love close.
