The Japanese word for nostalgia is ‘natsukashi’. I like that word. I like the sound of the vowels and consonants. I like how it evokes memory and reflection. Happiness and sometimes sadness.

One of the things I like the most about living so close to the equator is that, even though I am on the very edge of the Northern Hemisphere, I can often view the Southern Cross in the early morning sky. See this gem of the Southern Hemisphere always gives me great comfort.
