Last weekend, Melissa and I took a ride on the Aomori Tsugaru Railway’s “Stove Train”. This train has been in operation in Aomori Prefecture in Northern Japan since 1940 and makes three round trips a day from December to March. The passenger cars of the train are equipped with potbelly stoves that will keep you warm and grill some squid for your snacking pleasure as you gaze out at the cold, snowy landscape.

We went with ITT from Misawa. Our train departed around 3pm or so. I know there was a train before us, but not sure if there was one after.
