A solitary walk down a lonely hospital corridor.

A chill settles in

her bones…rattling teeth drown

out all ghostly moans.

 

Pain continues to 

increase, disallowing all 

cries for sweet relief.

 

Her body ravaged

and attacked reason unknown,

yet her smile breeds HOPE.

      Thank you. My sister-in-law has been critically ill (not COVID-19 related). The poem is about her. I am happy to say she is recovering rather well.
