My favorite tropical flower: Plumeria. I always thought it was native to Hawai’i, but its origins belong in Mexico and the Caribbean! Learn something new every day!

I miss my little friend. My daily tern greeting will be missed for quite some time and never forgotten.
Part of my daily commute to the school where I teach consisted of being greeted by a family of terns over the past couple of months. Particularly a new baby that I observed from egg to chick. One day before wing feathers, the baby disappeared. My days do not start as happy as they once did.

One of the things I like the most about living so close to the equator is that, even though I am on the very edge of the Northern Hemisphere, I can often view the Southern Cross in the early morning sky. See this gem of the Southern Hemisphere always gives me great comfort.
