Natsukashi

Natsukashi

Where did the time go?
One day all is fresh and new…
Blink…and it’s long gone.

A moment in time,
now construct a memory
all those years ago.

Lost in nostalgia,
strong sense of “natsukashi”...
always looking back.

Where once was before,
will now always be after.
Hesitate forward.

  1. Yep, my favorite Japanese word, for sure. The older I get, the more I feel that the Japanese are right in thinking that the Sakura is like a reflection of human life.
