Surfing and searching for something new to watch due to just falling in a big “show hole” after completing a couple of good series on Netflix, I found a new documentary on Queen. I did not think I would learn anything new as I have been a fan for over four decades, had the extreme pleasure of experiencing them live with Freddie, read anything I could get my hands on about the band, and I’ve watched the biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” several times. So it is safe to say that Queen has always been one of my favorite bands. Freddie Mercury and his 4-octave vocal range and flamboyant lifestyle are the stuff that rock-n-roll bios are made of and the biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” set the standard for all future music biopics and is a must see for any Queen fan. And on the heels of that success, Netflix released “The Show Must Go On: The Queen +Adam Lambert” rock documentary. This film focuses on Queen after the death of Freddie and how they eventually found a new front man in American Idol’s Adam Lambert to continue rocking the world and those fat-bottomed girls! The documentary is good, but does not offer anything new about Queen, Freddie, or the band’s history that was not already known and/or covered in the film “Bohemian Rhapsody”. What the documentary does do is give the viewer a new respect for Adam Lambert and his role in Queen. I have to admit, at first I was not willing to give Adam Lambert any respect or chance to fill Freddie’s shoes. But, as the film relates, Adam does not want to fill Freddie’s shoes, he simply wants to carry his music to a new audience and secure Freddie’s legacy. I can respect that. And I discovered that Adam has an awesome rock-n-roll voice! He does not have Freddie’s range, but he gets close! Adam Lambert is a champion and he will rock you!

- **Bohemian Rhapsody** to be placed anywhere in the list to suit your taste!

Well I haven’t watched that particular documentary. I am not sure how I will take to Adam Lambert either but now I am intrigued and will have to give it a try. Great post as usual.
