As a lover of cats and donuts, I have often wondered how to combine those two loves. I found out after a short walk around Pyeongtaek! The Cosmic Cat Donut Cafe is on a little side street amid an international selection of cafes, coffee shops, tailor shops, and vape shops. A Cosmic Cat hawking donuts…why not?!

I entered the Cosmic Cat Cafe and the cool of the air conditioner immediately began to dissolve the stiflingly humid Korean heat and the two Cosmic donuteers, Veronica and Jiwon, welcomed me with smiles. The donuts looked temptingly good and then I noticed an item in the display case I had to try: Banana Pudding.

My order was simple. Banana pudding, a glazed donut (slightly warmed), and a milk tea latte. The glazed donut was heavenly and melt-in-your-mouth delicious with each bite. The banana pudding was simply delectable. It was a thick pudding with pieces of banana entwined throughout the goodness. Not only were bananas hiding in the pudding with a few other crumbles, but there were also bits of donut! Yes, donuts!  I washed it all down with the best homemade iced milk tea latte I have ever tasted. The milk tea was perfectly mixed and had a hint of sugar that left my taste buds totally satisfied and completely refreshed. After a good conversation that consisted of sharing photos of our beloved cats and a couple of photos with my new friends, I exited the Cosmic Cat Donut Cafe and ventured back out into the hot, humid heat of Pyeongtaek, wishing I had ordered a second milk tea latte to go!
