Skipping Mother’s Day

Marlen Kaye 1960

Mom. 1960.

Skipping Mother’s Day
as a motherless child with
memories of love.

Innocence was lost
the day you passed and knowledge
of yearning began.

One more day with you
all I ask the Universe…
and I still remain.
